General FAQ

What is Gas fee?

Gas fees are transaction costs paid to on-chain validators. The VM does not receive these fees nor can it refund them. The VM has no control over gas prices and cannot profit from them.

What is a Transaction ID (TxID)?

A Transaction ID (TxID), also known as transaction hash, consists of a 64-bit string. A unique hash is generated every time a transaction is executed. Therefore, through the TxID, you can inquire about the transfer process of your asset deposit or withdrawal, transaction status and other information.

If you encounter any issues with VM digital asset deposits or withdrawals and need assistance from VM customer service representatives, you can click on the TxID to copy relevant information for them in order to receive timely support.

In addition, by clicking on this string, you can enter the corresponding block browser to check node confirmation status. Please note that only after block node confirmation is complete will assets be transferred into their respective accounts. If there's network congestion currently and your asset nodes are not confirmed in time, it may result in an extended duration for your asset deposit or withdrawal.

Which cryptocurrency wallets can I use on VM ?

Just like there are many banks and credit cards, there are also a variety of different cryptocurrency wallet providers to choose from. These wallets all serve the same purpose, but each one operates in a different way and makes different trade-offs.

If you're unsure which cryptocurrency wallet to use, the best approach is to try one of the many available options! These wallets vary in functionality, but many users choose to use MetaMask on their desktop computers and Coinbase Wallet for mobile devices.

  • MetaMask:A browser extension and mobile app, MetaMask is the most popular e-wallet in Web3 and one of the longest-standing wallets in the industry.

  • WalletConnect:WalletConnect is a communication protocol supported by various different dApps and digital wallets.

  • Coinbase Wallet – The Coinbase Wallet app allows users to browse decentralized web pages through the dApp browser. There's no need for a Coinbase account to use the Coinbase Wallet app.

How do I switch my wallet to another blockchain?

Using Chainlist.

  1. Please go to https://chainlist.org/

  2. Click the connect wallet in the upper right corner.

  3. After connecting the wallet, we will add the Polygon network (also known as Matic network). Enter "matic" in the search bar.

  4. Click on 'Add to MetaMask' under the Polygon Mainnet option (or the network you want to use).

  5. Metamask will prompt you to allow Chainlist to add a network. Click to switch networks.

After adding the required network, you can open MetaMask and click at the top of the MetaMask extension to switch networks.

You can see the current network displayed. Click and select any network from the dropdown list.

We clicked on Matic Mainnet (Polygon PoS), but you can choose any network listed.
