Redemption Agreement

Last updated on July 7, 2025.

1. Formation, Effectiveness, and Scope of the Agreement

1.1 This agreement is entered into between the user and VM with respect to domain renewal and redemption services. Once the user clicks "Agree", this agreement shall take effect immediately, indicating that the user has read, understood, acknowledged, and agreed to be bound by its terms.

1.2 VM reserves the right to amend this agreement at any time. Any modifications shall take effect immediately upon publication on the VM website (VM.com). The user may view the most recent version of this agreement on the applicable service page prior to using VM's services. If the user does not agree to the revised terms, they should discontinue use of the website and services.

2. Redemption Rules

2.1 The user agrees that VM shall not be liable if the domain enters the deletion phase before VM receives and processes the user’s payment to the relevant registry.

2.2 The user acknowledges that the absence of a payment notification from VM shall not constitute valid grounds for failure to pay or redeem in a timely manner.

2.3 The user agrees that any disputes arising from fee adjustments shall not be subject to legal claims against VM or ICANN. By accepting this agreement, the user agrees to pay all applicable redemption fees. Once the domain redemption is successful, all fees paid are non-refundable.

2.4 Redemption only supports renewal for one (1) year. For multi-year renewals, please complete the redemption process first and then proceed with additional renewals.

2.5 During the redemption period, the user must pay a fee higher than the standard renewal rate. Redemption fees are set by the domain registry.

2.6 If the user fails to redeem the domain within the redemption period, it will enter a 5-day pending delete phase during which renewal or redemption is no longer possible. The domain will be deleted after this phase, and VM shall not be held responsible for any resulting loss.

2.7 The user shall pay fees in accordance with the pricing standards published by VM. VM reserves the right to adjust prices at any time based on market conditions and operational needs. All changes will be published on the official website.

2.8 Upon successful domain redemption, DNS resolution services may take 24–48 hours to be restored by the registry.

3. Redemption Period

3.1 After a domain expires, it enters a renewal grace period of approximately 30 days. This grace period may vary depending on the domain suffix. If the domain is not renewed within the grace period, it will enter the redemption period, which also varies by suffix. For example, the redemption period for international domains (.com, .net, .vip, .club, .xyz, etc.) is typically around 30 days.

3.2 If the user fails to redeem the domain during the redemption period, it will be deleted. VM will no longer manage or control the domain, nor will it be able to renew it. The domain will be removed from the user’s account and eventually become publicly available for registration. VM cannot guarantee or notify the user of the exact time of release by the registry.

3.3 VM will send multiple email notifications regarding domain expiration and redemption within 30 days before and after expiration.

3.4 If the expired domain no longer appears in the user's account, it is generally no longer recoverable. The user may attempt to re-register the domain once it has been fully released.

4. Fees and Payments

4.1 On-chain redemption operations may incur Gas fees. Redemption actions are executed via smart contracts and require the user to connect their wallet and authorize relevant asset permissions. VM is not responsible for failed transactions due to insufficient wallet balance, delayed operation, or incorrect Gas settings.

4.2 VM submits redemption requests based on real-time queries to the registry database. However, an absence of conflict at the time of query does not guarantee that the domain can ultimately be redeemed or renewed successfully.

4.3 All fees paid for domain renewal or redemption are non-refundable, except in cases of technical failure or force majeure where VM is unable to provide the intended service.

4.4 If the user disagrees with VM’s billing, service period, or fee-related notices, they must notify VM via email promptly after receiving such notice. VM will review and verify upon receiving the user’s email. Otherwise, the User shall be deemed to have accepted the billing terms, and both parties shall settle fees accordingly.

5. Miscellaneous

5.1 "VM" refers to SINO PROFIT (HONG KONG) LIMITED and any affiliated operating entities. Official domain: VM.com

5.2 Section headings in this agreement are for reference only and shall not affect the interpretation of the terms. All provisions shall be interpreted as independent and severable agreements. If any term (or part thereof) is deemed illegal, invalid, or unenforceable by a competent court or authority, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by law.
